Joey de Leon remembers Vice Ganda’s birthday
Henyo Master Joey de Leon and other Eat Bulaga hosts greeted It’s Showtime Vice Ganda “happy birthday” during the March 31 episode of the Kapuso noontime show.
It is known to many that Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime are rival shows. There were several times when hosts from both shows would mention the other show and say something about the hosts of the other show.
On Friday, this happened again. Joey mentioned Vice during a spiel. Based on the video clip that Twitter user @foreverponyvg3 shared, the Kapamilya host received a birthday greeting from the Kapuso hosts.
The video started at the time when Joey de Leon mentioned that it is already the last day. Other hosts, Paolo Ballesteros, Maja Salvador, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, and Ryan Agoncillo, were wondering what the Henyo Master was talking about. They were jokingly surprised by what Joey said.
This has something to do with the rumored rebranding of Eat Bulaga and changing of hosts. While laughing, Jose said, “Teka lang, Boss Joey.” Then, the Henyo Master pointed out that he is not yet finished with what he was saying.
“Last day na ng March!” Joey exclaimed. Everyone answered, “ahh….” Then, the veteran comedian-host said that it is his mother’s birthday and the Dabarkads greeted his mother.
Then, Joey mentioned that it is also the birthday of Vice. “Birthday din ni Vice Ganda data,” he said. Maja confirmed this as she said, “Opo, Boss Joey.” They greeted the It’s Showtime host.
Netizens who commented on this expressed happiness that network war is no longer a thing now. “Ohhh..so nice naman from joey de leon,chill chill nlang sila now.nakakatuwa dapat ganyan spread d love [red heart emoji] and positivity,” Twitter user @BiancaTimbal commented.
