Heart Evangelista was asked about her much-talked-about rift with Chiz Escudero
Fashion icon Heart Evangelista denied that shopping and her spending were reasons behind her rift with her husband Senator Chiz Escudero.
Last year, Heart and Chiz’s relationship was a hot topic in showbiz circles. Several versions of speculations circulated on social media. There were cheating allegations directed at both sides.
Some also believed that the reason for their marital issues was prompted by the difference in their lifestyle. Heart was frequently traveling because of the fashion events she was attending abroad while Chiz is busy fulfilling his duty as a public servant.
Fortunately, the couple showed that their love for each other is stronger than whatever misunderstanding they had. Before 2022 ended, the apparent reconciliation happened.
In a recent interview with The Philippine Star, Hear Evangelista was asked about one of the alleged reasons for her rift with her husband. Some speculated that her shopping or her excessive spending is the reason why she and Chiz Escudero had a misunderstanding.
“No, definitely,” the Kapuso star said debunking the rumors. “In fact, I think, being yourself is very, very important for people to understand you whether it’s with your friends, or your colleagues, you just have to be yourself, just be truthful and if they don’t understand you, it’s okay, as long as you understand yourself,” she further explained.
On the other hand, Heart admitted that she is spending a lot and this is the reason why she is working hard. When it comes to buying her stuff, the actress said that she does not depend on anyone and she pays for her purchases from her hard-earned money.
Heart Evangelista added that she is a smart shopper. She makes sure that what she buys would last for many years and when it comes to her clothes, she always considers that the items can be mixed and matched with other items.
