Kayla Aan Gorostiza, the sister of Andrea Brillantes, has this reaction to the bashing after the Kapamilya actress had her promposal to her boyfriend actor-basketball player Ricci Rivero.

Andrea caught the attention of concertgoers, at the recent Blackpink concert, due to the sign that she was carrying. She asked her boyfriend to go to Star Magic Prom with her. Blackpink’s Rose read what was written in the sign and she also encouraged Ricci to say yes.

That moment garnered “sana all” comments from Blackpink fans. However, this did not sit well with a lot of fans. Some commented that Andrea stole the spotlight from the famous K-pop group.

There were also those who accused the Kapamilya actress of being a “papansin.” Through an Instagram Story, Kayla Aan Gorostiza defended Andrea Brillantes. Kayla shared a screenshot of a Twitter post with the caption: “The design is very papansin.”

It featured photos taken during that promposal moment. “Gusto niya lang maging super special ng FIRST PROM NIYA. LET HER BE,” Kyla said. She also stressed that as a big fan of Blackpink and just like other fans, she also wants to get the attention of her favorite K-Pop group.

“Yes, yun naman talaga ang point. Fan talaga ang kapatid ko, masama ba kung nag try siya magpapansin sa idols nya? Aminin na natin, lahat tayo gusto nating mapansin ng Blackpink, ok???” Kayla said.

Andrea’s sister also said that the young actress was already waiting in the queue early that day and she printed 6 promposal banners for her first-ever prom. Although she is a celebrity, Andrea was standing there for a long time just like other fans. “Artista siya pero hindi ibig sabihin non na bawal siya umasta na parang normal na tao…” Kayla said.

Andrea’s sister also said that usually, she does not answer negative comments against her sister but apparently, this one is different. “Leave my sister alone you bitter people. She’s allowed to be a fan girl,” Kayla said.
