PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring cloudy skies and isolated rain or thunderstorms over parts of the country.

On Saturday (March 25, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

The easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and Aurora.

Aasahan po natin na ang malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay makakaranas ng mainit na panahon, pero malaki pa rin and tiyansa ng mga  isolated o pulo-pulong pag-ulan lalo na sa silangan bahagi ng Visayas,  Mindanao at Southern Luzon,”  Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said 

The weather agency warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

Wala po masyadong kaulapan at easterlies ang siyang nakakaapekto partikular sa southern part ng Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao,”  Badrina added.
