Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake Today in Davao Occidental, March 25, 2023
EARTHQUAKE TODAY – The Phivolcs recorded a 3.3 magnitude quake in Davao Occidental today, Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that jolted a part of Davao Occidental a few weeks ago, another strong quake was recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The quake hit a part of Davao Occidental. According to the agency, it had a magnitude of 3.3.
The earthquake that struck Davao Occidental, today, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 07:59 a.m. was tectonic in origin. It specifically hit Malita.
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Davao Occidental was located at 06.45°North, 125.85°East – 027 km North 81° East of Malita with a depth of focus of 135 kilometers.
Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are not expected from the said quake as well as aftershocks. No intensity as well as instrumental intensity was recorded by the quake-monitoring agency as per its release.
