The Kapuso writer said that she is just debating and defending her beliefs. “Akala lang nila inaaway ko sila pero sa loob ko, teka muna nakikipag-argumento lang ako. Hindi naman ako nakikipag-away,” she said.

Suzette also said that she is being bashed for expressing her beliefs and what she would say on social media regarding her stance on certain things.

On the other hand, she said that she is not affected by the bashing she receives online. It is because she stressed that she is whole as a person and that she knows herself well.

She also said that if people bash her for her statement, then, it is not her problem anymore. The writer also shared what she observed on social media in the Philippines.

Suzette said that people tend to bash those who have different opinion from what many people believe. “Gusto natin walang lumilihis, walang different opinion, walang kakaibang ano kasi kapag ganoon iba-bash ka. Ayoko doon sa nandoon ka lang. Mas magandang lumalabas. Kahit naman sa mga isinusulat ko medyo uma-out,” she explained.

Then, she stressed that she is what she writes, and because of this, people bash her. Among the projects she wrote were Encantadia, My Husband’s Lover, and Maria Clara at Ibarra.

Suzette Doctolero added that some people would bash her based on their own perception of her. At times, those bashers would invent lies about her. The writer shared at a young age, she was taught to fight for herself and because of this, she would engage in answering netizens’ negative comments.
