Fumiya Sankai Shares Photos From Reunion W/ Filipino ‘Father’ After 3 Years Apart
FUMIYA SANKAI – Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Fumiya Sankai shared photos from his reunion with his Filipino ‘father’ after three (3) years apart.
Japanese YouTuber and actor Fumiya Sankai became well-known after joining the Kapamilya reality program Pinoy Big Brother Otso. His humble personality and desire to build a bridge between Japan and the Philippines won the hearts of the Filipino people.
Despite coming from a distant nation, Fumiya can blend quite well with Filipinos. He keeps researching Philippine customs and culture. He declared that he would always regard Japan as his country of origin.
Fumiya Sankai goes back to his former home in Manila and meets the man who became his father while living in the Philippines. He has been posting daily updates of his trip, highlighting his best experiences since arriving back in the nation last month.
In one of his most recent posts, the 27-year-old vlogger recalled with joy his visit to his previous house and the man who, while he was living in the Philippines, took on a fatherly role for him and whom he hadn’t seen in three years due to the pandemic.

Fumiya Sankai wrote in the post that he would go see him again when he returned to Manila in the future. “Nung unang dating ko po sa Pinas ay last 6 years ago po.
“Yung taon nayon hindi ako marunong mag-Tagalog. Wala pa po akong Kakilalang Filipino friends. Pero kahit wala po akong alam sa Pilipinas may isang mabait na tao na pinatulog [ako] sa kanilang bahay.”
“Siya po ay tinuturing kong tatay sa Pinas. ‘Tas naka-uwi po ulit ako sa Pinas. After three years nagkita po ulit kami. [Kaya] ay natuwa po ako kasi hindi po nagbabago, na parang dati na mabait [pa] din po.
“Thank you po talaga nung pinatulog mo [ako] na wala akong alam dito. And I look forward to meet you again.”
