Yayo Aguila understands the predicaments of Liza Soberano
Seasoned actress Yayo Aguila said that actress Liza Soberano is “mabait na bata” amid the recent issue about her rebranding.
More and more personalities shared their thoughts on the recent issue involving Liza and her former manager Ogie Diaz. This came along with her decision to leave his management in order to pursue a career in Hollywood.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Yayo was asked about Liza’s statement that she was boxed in a love team.
To recall, during Yayo Aguila’s younger years in showbiz, she was also in a love team. This has been part of the Philippine industry. The seasoned actress said that she understands the side of the younger actress.
“Matter of choices lang naman ‘yun sa buhay. Kung sinabi ni Liza ‘yun, right niya ‘yun to say pero sabi nga niya, out of context naman kinuha ng mga tao,” Yayo said. She added that Liza is a good person. “So I guess, si Liza mabait naman na bata ‘yun. So sino naman ako para mag-comment,” she said.
Then, Yayo explained that a love team is being formed because it is what the people love. She stressed that in the entertainment industry, there is a business element. The seasoned actress also pointed out that even though there is a talent manager, artists still have the freedom to say what they like or dislike.
Yayo Aguila also said that this is what she would say to younger stars who ask advice from her when it comes to their career. She said that one should know first what she or he wants and express this.
The seasoned actress also stressed that one could always say no if he or she does not want the things being told to him or her to do. “Kasi kung ayaw mo, di naman mapapagawa sayo. Ngayon pag ginawa mo, kasi umoo ka, wag mong sasabihing hindi mo gusto, kasi ginawa mo rin e. May choice ka naman always,” she said.
