Wife of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo Speaks on Necrological Service for him
ROEL DEGAMO – The grieving wife of the late Negros Oriental Governor, Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, admits asking God over her husband’s death.
The death of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo left countless hearts broken. He is survived by his wife, Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, and their two (2) sons. He had a sudden passing following an attack at their home last March 4.
Men wearing pixelated uniforms entered the compound of the Degamo family in Pamplona and shot the Governor. His ally and several civilians also died due to the incident while many others were left wounded and are currently in the hospital.
Investigations are ongoing over the death of Gov. Roel Degamo. Politics is eyed as the angle with the highest chance of relativity to the death of the Governor.
Currently, the name Cong. Arnie Teves is linked to the death of Gov. Degamo. He was tagged by one of the suspects as the mastermind behind the killing of the Governor. The Governor unseated his younger brother, Pryde Henry Teves, when the Commission on Elections (Comelec) declared Degamo as the rightful winner of the gubernatorial election.
A necrological service for the late Gov. Roel Degamo was held at the Provincial Capitol Forecourt. One of those who spoke is his grieving wife, Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, who admitted that she questioned God over her husband’s untimely death.
According to Mayor Janice, she asked God how come He made Gov. Roel return to office everytime he is removed from his post but he was not “able to protect him” from the hands of other people.
“Becoming governor was his destiny. It was his destiny. But I asked God, ‘How come you made him return everytime he is removed but you failed to protect him… in the hands of cruel people?'” Mayor Janice said.
Based on the video, Mayor Janice Degamo further shared that she and a pastor have talked. He told her that it is possible that the death of Gov. Roel Degamo is part of his governorship. The Governor was working when he was attacked at his home on a Saturday.
