Pres. Bongbong Marcos Assures Justice over Death of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo, Other Victims
BONGBONG MARCOS – The 65-year-old President visited the wake of slain Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
The death of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo left his constituents saddened and alarmed by what is happening in their society. He was attacked at his own home in Pamplona last March 4, 2023.
Several men in pixelated uniforms entered the compound of the Degamo residence and lodged their motive. Aside from the Governor, his ally and several civilians inside their house died due to the incident.
Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, the wife of the slain Negros Oriental Governor, called to the national government for justice over her husband’s untimely death. She stressed that he did not deserve that kind of death and he was working on a Saturday when the attack happened.
Several known personalities in the government and public agencies have visited the wake of the late Negros Oriental former governor Roel Degamo. The national government also assured justice for his death and the passing of several other people.
Recently, based on GMA News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos recently flew to Dumaguete, Negros Oriental to visit the wake of the late Negros Oriental former Gov. Roel Degamo and express his sympathy to his bereaved family. The slain Governor is survived by his wife and their two (2) sons.
Aside from expressing his sympathy and condolences to the family of the late Governor, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also talked to the families of the other victims and assured them that justice will be served. He also asked on what can be done to help the victims including those who are still being treated in the hospital.
“Sinabi ko lang sa kanila na makakaasa sila na magkakaroon ng hustisya dito sa inyong probinsya na naging masyadong magulo,” he said.
