What will happen to Eat Bulaga?
Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, who is the current treasurer of TAPE Inc., the production company behind Eat Bulaga, has spoken about the issues being faced by the longest-running noontime show.
These past few days, the showbiz industry and the online community have been talking about the rumored rebranding of the noontime show that has been part of the lives of many Filipinos for more than four decades.
It was alleged that hosts will be replaced and a new format will be introduced. Speculations surfaced that the legendary trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon will be replaced by Wowowin host Willie Revillame.
There was even a poster circulating online that Eat Bulaga will be named Wow Bulaga and Willie supposedly will be joined by Bretman Rock, Allan K, and other hosts. King of Talk Boy Abunda clarified that there is no truth to this.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, as part of TAPE Inc., confirmed that there is no truth to rumors that Willie Revillame will replace TVJ. “No. Not true, for the record po,” the TAPE Inc. treasurer said. He stressed that this is fake news.
Jalosjos also shared that a press conference will be held soon to clarify the changes that will happen to Eat Bulaga and TAPE. A board meeting was held on March 6.
“We will have a presscon soon and answer all issues facing the company. At the same time, present a new format na mangyayari as agreed [upon] by all the executives,” Jalosos said.
