Here’s Vilma Santos’ Advice To Young Actors Who Are Rude, Unprofessional

VILMA SANTOS – Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos has this piece of advice for younger stars who are involved in controversies of being unprofessional.

The country’s Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos is admired by lots of people. She received at least six FAMAS awards, along with a Lifetime Achievement Award, two Circles of Excellence Awards, and a Hall of Fame Award.

The seasoned actress, also known as Ate Vi, is the mother of Ryan Christian Santos Recto and Luis Manzano. Her youngest son, Ryan, is a child she shares with her husband, House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto, while her eldest son is a child she shares with her ex-husband Edu Manzano.

When Vilma Santos joined politics, she became inactive in show business. She governed the people of Batangas for several years.

The 69-year-old celebrity remains among the well-respected pillars of the industry. Recently, she was asked about her thoughts on celebrities who are involved in controversies for being unprofessional and showing disrespect to other colleagues.

Vilma Santos willingly gave a piece of advice to young actors currently working in the show business. She said celebrities should establish good relationships with everyone they work with.

“Yung mga hindi binabati, walang respeto sa mga senior stars. Alam nyo, wag kayong ganyan, kasi hindi kayo tatagal. At the end of the day ang usapan if you want to be in showbusiness is longevity. Hanggang kailan ka? You might be a superstar for a year or two but after that where are you na?

“Pero sa dinami dami ng mga artista ngayon, kailangan nandun yung X factor mo and number one is respect your colleagues. Andun yung x factor mo para umangat ka…”

“Learn how to respect other people specially mga kasama mo sa industriya. Yan ang number one,” said Vilma.
