Michelle Dee is determined to have another shot in Miss Universe Philippines
Beauty queen-actress Michelle Dee said she is ready to fight for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown until her last breath.
Last year, Michelle won the MUPH-Tourism title, just a place behind Celeste Cortesi who won the MUPH crown. After the pageant, her fans still hoped she would join the national pageant again.
Prior to this, Michelle was already crowned Miss World Philippines 2019. Last week, MUPH released the official TOP 40 candidates for this year’s pageant. Michelle Dee confirmed that she is continuing her pageant journey.
In a recent interview for her Kapuso show Mga Lihim ni Urduja, based on the article in Inquirer, Michelle said that this is her last chance in pageantry. She stressed that she is the type of person who does not want to have any regrets in the end for not doing whatever she could do.
“It’s my last chance this year. I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to have any regrets. That’s what ultimately pushed me. If you know that you have something more to give, then give it,” the beauty queen-actress said.
Although she has showbiz engagements and other things to do, Michelle is optimistic that she can focus also on her pageant stint. She also shared that the encouragement that she get after Celeste’s nonplacement in Miss Universe 2023, gave a push to her to join again.
“I can say that I can do these. Ilalaban ko ‘to hanggang mawalan ako ng hininga. I know it’s something I can achieve. I won’t waste this opportunity,” Michelle Dee declared.
The Kapuso star also expressed gratitude to the people around her for showing their support. She is thankful that she has a strong support system, as well as her fans who have been cheering for her.
