Awra Briguela Slams Critics Chastising His Viral Beach Photos

Child star Awra Briguela slammed critics who keep chastising his recent beach photos that went viral on social media.

The 18-year-old online star was upset that others were mocking his images taken on a beach in La Union. On February 17, Awra attracted the attention of netizens with her images and videos while wearing a two-piece bikini beside the beach.

According to his fans, he resembles the great female artist Nadine Lustre. Nonetheless, he did not escape criticism from netizens, particularly his detractors, who did not approve of what he was wearing.

He even uploaded images of his detractors on social media to call them out. He also quit using Facebook due to the criticisms he received. Awra even said that those who were criticizing him were ‘unattractive’.

“Kaya hindi na ako nagamit ng facebook e, apaka daming perfect na akala mo ang popogi at ang gaganda nila. jusko,” he said in a tweet.

“I asked why?!  maybe because they will never accept truth.. TRUTH that I look good – hmm GREAT and BETTER than they will ever be.” he added.

McNeal “Awra” Briguela’s career began as an internet phenomenon. He’s been openly homosexual since he was a child and enjoys emulating Pinay celebs like Sarah Geronimo, Sarah Lahbati, and Maja Salvador. He gained fame as “Awra” after achieving mainstream recognition as an actor and comedian.

Briguela was discovered by actor Coco Martin, who saw a chance for her in his FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano primetime television series (2016–2019). Briguela gained notoriety as “MakMak” in the series, alongside Coco, Susan Roces, Maja Salvador, Bela Padilla, Albert Martinez, Arjo Atayde, Eddie Garcia, Agot Isidro, Jaime Fabregas, and Simon “Onyok” Pineda. Briguela received her third Aral Parangal Award for Best Child Performance for her performance in the primetime series.

Aside from FPJAP, Awra Briguela has been in a number of shows and films. He also gained close to prominent figures in the country such as Vice Ganda, Zeinab Harake, Julia Barretto, and Maris Racal.
