A college student decided to quit school and focus at work to support his family “Ako na lang po ang nagtatrabaho sa aming pamilya”.

College is often considered a rite of passage for many young adults, but for some, the reality of life can often lead them down a different path. This is the story of one college student who had to make the difficult decision to quit school and support their family.

A Facebook user named John Michael Soliman vented out his current situation online where he had to quit school and focus on work to provide for the financial needs of his family. The post touched the hearts of the online community.

Soliman was a typical working college student, studying hard and trying to make the most of his time in school. He had a passion for learning and a bright future ahead of him but life had other plans.

Faced with this difficult situation, John had to make a tough choice. He could either stay in school to pursue his dream or quit college and work to support his family.

“Kaya pinili ko na lang po ang pagtigil ng pag-aaral upang makapag focus sa trabaho at mas bigyang pansin ang pangtustos namin,” Soliman said.

John narrated that he is the sole breadwinner of his family and that his salary could not support both his family and his studies. He also reiterated that he was already tired and exhausted from a lack of rest.

“Ako na lang po ang nagtatrabaho sa aming pamilya at ako na rin ang nagpapaaral sa sarili ko. Pero hindi pa sapat yung sahod pangtustos sa pag-aaral at pagbuhay sa pamilya dagdag na rin yung pagod at kulang sa pahinga,” he added.

Despite the challenges, John remained determined and focused.

Today, I decided to stop my college journey due to a lot of factors that influenced my decision. But it doesn’t mean that I should stop learning as well. Life must go on and the world keeps rounding. I will still nurture my knowledge and learn from reality that I am facing. It is not easy for me to decide, but I am doing it for the sake of my current situations. Therefore, keep fighting lang gyapon sa life even if I will not be having my degree in college and will not be having my diploma that I have been dreaming of. I believe what matters the most is our determination and hard work to achieve our goals. Lord, may You guide me in my decisions and lead me on a good path.

PS. Focus nalang ta sa work hehe
