Video of Purok Chairwoman & Son Earns Criticisms for Destroying Vendor’s ‘Paninda’
SOUTH COTABATO – A purok chairwoman and her son have been caught on camera destroying the products of a poor vendor.
A Facebook user named Dhie Mhie Joys has shared video footage of a purok chairwoman and her son destroying the products of a lady vendor. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, the purok chairwoman of Salada, Brgy. Cannery Site in Polomolok, South Cotabato runs amok and suddenly destroyed the products of a vendor. The official’s son even helped her while ranting.
The vendor is supposed to use her earnings to buy medicine for her mother and provide the necessities for her child. She was quite disappointed with the behavior of the barangay official towards her.
The purok chairwoman explained that illegal vendors are prohibited in the area but they did not listen. The raging official argued with the vendors and other residents in the area.
Barangay officials are tasked to implement the rules and regulations within their area of jurisdiction.
