Regine Velasquez Reveals Ogie Alcasid was a Victim of Bullying in School
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez revealed that her husband Ogie Alcasid was once a victim of bullying in his school.
The singer opened up about her husband, Ogie Alcasid, being bullied at school. The Ultimate Singer-Songwriter, an OPM icon, was also a victim of bullying, which he still remembers.
Ogie, according to Regine, did not survive the bullies when he was still in school because he was small in their school. Regine revealed in an episode of “Magandang Buhay” that her spouse went through a lot when he was still studying.
Nonetheless, the Kapamilya TV personality and performer did not give up and created an impression. The singer stated that bullies would throw Ogie in the locker and leave him there since he fit, based on the article of Bandera.
Regine revealed Ogie’s bullying after a “Dream Makers” dream chaser revealed on “Magandang Buhay” that he, too, was a victim of bullying at their school. Regine also offered advise to other parents whose children are bullied not only at school but also in their own homes.
“It’s okay to fight, especially kung hindi kayo ang nag-uumpisa. Ako ‘yung anak ko sinasabihan ko if someone is going to bully you, you have to fight because mommy is not there,” Regine said, referring to her son Nate Alcasid.
According to Regine, parents need to know what is going on with their children, especially at school, so that if there is a problem or issue, they can find a means or solution right away.
