Barbie Forteza as Klay and Her “El Fili Survival Kit”

This is the “survival kit” of Barbie Forteza as Klay as she enters the El Fili novel.

BARBIE FORTEZA – ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ dives into the world of ‘El Fili’ and Klay prepares this “starter pack”.

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” had a successful 2022 run tackling the story of the famous Jose Rizal novel “Noli Me Tangere“. The story comes with a twist as someone from the present gets to witness the events and story personally and that is Maria Clara or Klay, a character played by Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza.

After the successful run last year, the series will dive into the story of “El Filibusterismo” yet again, with a unique and modern retelling through Klay’s point of view. This is the sequel of Noli and the writers of the hit series came prepared as they embark on this new journey.

As much as we all know, in El Fili, Dennis Trillo, who plays Crisostomo Ibarra, will hide under the disguise of Simoun in the sequel. Simoun is a wealthy jeweler. Julie Anne San Jose playing the Maria Clara role will be a returning cast along with David Licauco as Fidel.

There are returning cast but there will also be a new set of casts and among them is Khalil Ramos who will be playing Basilio.

And before entering the story of El Fili, Klay made sure that she gets to pack with her the significant things she will need like her undergarments, toothbrush, toothpaste, the El Fili book, and many others – the “El Fili starter pack”.

Many netizens expressed fondness for this and they are also excited to see how would people in El Fili react to her things from the modern world.
