Vince Tañada Reveals “Ako si Ninoy” Film Receives Support from the Aquino Family
Director Atty Vince Tañada revealed that the Aquino family gives full support to his musical film “Ako si Ninoy”.
During an interview with ANC Digital, the filmmaker stated that the Aquino family supported his musical film “Ako si Ninoy,” adding that their major resource person when they developed the script last 2009 was former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino, and they adopted the script into a movie in 2023.
“Ito po ay hindi galing lamang sa opinyon ng isang pamilya para maiangat ang kanilang bumagsak na imahen. Ito po ay galing sa pagsasaliksik, pag-aaral ng mga historyador, akademiko at galing mismo sa pamilya ni Ninoy Aquino,” he stressed.
Vince recently revealed the official trailer for his second film, which would chronicle the life of late Senator Ninoy Aquino from his infancy to his death. He also stressed that the sequel to the hit martial arts film “Katips” will aid in the fight against fake news and historical misinformation.
Vince, in his recent post on Facebook, described the musical film as a “multi-plot, multi-character musical film that will topple historical distortionist films.” Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo, a singer-actor, will play “Ninoy Aquino” in this film, and his song “Buwan” will serve as the film’s theme song.
Netizens were taken aback by the casting of Joaquin Domagoso, the son of former Manila City Mayor and presidential candidate Isko Moreno Domagoso, who will play “Ninoy Aquino” in “Martyr or Murderer,” directed by Darryl Yap.
