How true is it that Alex Gonzaga loses projects after a recent controversy?
Actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga allegedly loses projects following the icing-smearing issue that received criticisms online.
To recall, Alex literally had her “birthday bash” because she received bashing after her video surfaced on social media in which she smeared the face of waiter Allan Crisostomo with icing.
After this video went viral, her friend social media influencer Dani Barretto, who uploaded the clip, immediately deleted the post. In a recent statement, Dani said that she regretted posting the said video that went viral as netizens easily screen-grabbed it.
Realizing what she had done, Alex apologized to Allan. Eventually, this issue became a joke during Toni Gonzaga’s concert, I Am Toni, at the Araneta Coliseum on January 20.
For several days, this has been a trending topic on social media. In a recent Showbiz Now Na vlog of veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin with Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, they once again discussed this issue.
Based on the video shared by The Philippine Star, it was mentioned by the veteran writer that Alex has no contract with big brands and no companies are hiring her for advertisements.
“Baka nga totoo ang kasabihan na you can’t have your cake and and eat it too,” Philstar’s content creator Kristofer Purnell said.
As of this writing, Alex has not released a statement yet regarding this allegation against her.
Meanwhile, after the controversy and her apology, the actress-vloggers goes on with her regular routine. She released a vlog featuring the house of vlogger and socialite Small Laude’s sister Alice Eduardo.
Alex Gonzaga also took to social media her birthday message to celebrity doctor Vicki Belo. They had their bonding moment last year abroad when they attended the Mila Fashion Week.
