Vince Tañada promotes his new movie
Director Vince Tañada said that his movie Ako si Ninoy will end all the lies being made against former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr.
Direk Vince was the director of the 2021 movie Katips which was released again last year. It was a martial law-driven film about the struggles of protesters. Last year, director-writer Darryl Yap released the first installment of his trilogy, the Maid in Malacanang.
This 2023, Direk Darryl will release the second installment which is the Martyr or Murderer which will introduce the character of Ninoy. Direk Vince also has his new movie he said that it intends to tell the truth.
On his Facebook page, the filmmaker shared a post featuring the movie poster. The face of a man was covered with these questions: “Sino ba si Ninoy? Ako ba si Ninoy? Kami ba si Ninoy?“
“KAILANGAN NATIN NG BAYANI, ‘yung totoo, ‘yung hindi gawa-gawa, ‘yung hindi pinorma para mabago ang imahe ng pamilya, ‘yung bunga ng masusing research ng mga akademiko’t iskolastiko, ‘yung pinag-aralan ng mga historians, ‘yung subok ng bawat Pilipino noon at ngayon!” Vince Tañada wrote in the caption of his post.
Then, he shared that the trailer and full cast of the movie will soon be released. He also said that this movie will end all the lies.
“Kung gusto niyong malaman ang Katotohanan, sa January 22, sa ganap na 7:00 ng gabi, lalabas sa lahat ng Social Media Platforms ang Grand Reveal ng Title, Trailer at Full Cast ng bagong Pelikulang tatapos sa lahat ng kasinungalingan. Abangan!” Direk Vince said.
Based on the article in Balita, singer-songwriter JK Labajo will portray the character of Ninoy in the movie. Also part of the movie is Joaquin Domagoso whose father is former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who portrays Ninoy in Direk Darryl’s MoM movie.
Aside from Ako si Ninoy, another movie that will serve as a criticism of the Marcos regime is Oras de Peligro directed by Joel Lamangan.
