Man Pretends as Customer to Steal Mobile Phone at Coffee Shop
A suspicious man pretends as a customer and ordered a lot of foods and drinks to steal a mobile phone from a coffee shop.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
Recently, CCTV footage shows a male suspect who entered a coffee shop in Alcala, Pangasinan, and pretended as a customer. The latter asked for the menu and made a lot of orders, according to the store’s barista.
The guy temporarily leaves the establishment to allegedly call his colleagues. However, he returned alone and start to order a lot of food and drinks. The store employee immediately prepared the orders.
The thief takes the opportunity to perform his illegal activity while the barista is busy preparing the food. He took two mobile phones worth P25, 000 from the counter and immediately leave the establishment.
“Nag-order siya ng maraming food and then drinks. Mag-isa lang po ako noon. Kaya noong pumasok ako, hindi ko alam na gagawin niya ‘yun,” the barista named Emil said.
The male thief also victimized the nearby establishment. The police authorities are trying to locate and identify the suspect using the CCTV footage.
