PAGASA: LPA That Enters PAR to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (January 10, 2023)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area that entered PAR will bring extensive rain to the country.

On Tuesday (January 10, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last spotted 705 kilometers east of Davao City. It has a possibility to develop into a tropical cyclone but it has a slim chance to intensify.

“Sa kasalukuyan po, hindi natin inaalis ang posibilidad na ito ay maging bagyo pero sa kasalukuyan din, base sa ating pinakahuling datos, medyo maliit pa ‘yung tsansa na ito ay lumakas o mabuo. Bagamat gayon ang scenario na nakikita natin ngayon, inaasahan pa rin natin na magiging maulan sa malaking bahagi ng Visayas, Mindanao, gayundin sa ilang bahagi ng Bicol Region, dulot nitong low pressure area,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate.

The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather conwdittion over Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, and the rest of Bicol Region.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency has warned the public for flooding and landslides due to moderate to heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
