JODI STA MARIA – Story time! Here’s the heart-melting story of how Jodi Sta and her adopted cat found each other.
On our way to somewhere we’re heading, we’ll surely meet someone who will have an impact on our lives. But not all the time, it’s going to be a person. Sometimes, it can come with thick fur and purrs. And this is what happened to the famous actress Jodi Sta Maria.
She was on her way out when a cat in the airport particularly caught her attention. People’s luggage carts were hitting her and the cat also keeps on calling people as if asking them to feed her and help her.
That time, the weather is cold and an animal as young and as tiny as that must have been freezing. In her narration, Jodi shared that one of the passengers has scolded her for stopping his cart. The passenger’s cart was about to hit the cat but she managed to stop it.
She understood the situation that perhaps the passenger is also rushing home from a probably dreadful flight but she needs to do it for the cat. She wrote: Sabi ko lang “Manong pasensya na po may pusa po kasi. Then he told me “wag nyo kasing iwan kung saan-saan alaga nyo.” ..
The man stormed off and she was left with the cat. In her mind, she spoke: “hindi ko siya alaga…magiging alaga palang”
And that was how it all started.
She ended her story, “So I got her, took her home and named her Naia, pronounced as Na-ya kasi sa NAIA Terminal 1 ko siya nakuha. Now, she’s safe with us. Scheduled na rin for a vet visit. Ayun lang..konting story time”
