Ka Tunying on Air Navigation Glitch at NAIA: “Hindi sapat ang sorry dito”

Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna Slams Officials over Air Navigation Glitch at NAIA

Veteran journalist Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna took a swipe against officials over an air navigation glitch at the NAIA.

Taberna took a shot at airport officials on his radio show Dos Por Dos for the failure of the aviation navigation system at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Thousands of local and foreign travelers were left stranded on Sunday, January 1.

This comes after aviation security officials declared that they needed to resolve technical faults that caused many aircraft to be delayed. Sorry isn’t enough for the ALLTV news anchor for the recent aviation navigation error that hindered passengers’ flights.

According to his Instagram post, someone should be held accountable or resign from his position as a result of this. He pushed several officials to retire rather than risk being fired for their recklessness.

“Sa pumalpak na Air navigation System.. Hindi sapat ang sorry dito. Wala bang magre-resign dyan? Wag na sanang hintayin na sibakin pa! Anak ng bakang dalaga!” Taberna said.

Netizens responded with a variety of thoughts and comments. On Sunday, Jan. 1, a number of flights were diverted, canceled, or delayed owing to technical faults monitored by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines’ Air Traffic Management Center (ATMC).

Emergency mechanisms have already been launched by the CAAP. The CAAP and MIAA have both apologized for the event. However, several airlines have begun to distribute water and food packs to their passengers.

Gulf Air, Korean Airlines, Saudia Airlines, and Philippine Airlines are among the international airlines that have begun to cater to the needs of their passengers (PAL). PAL, for its part, has recommended travelers check their flight itinerary updates on a frequent basis.

It also recommended travelers avoid traveling to the NAIA if their flights were canceled and instead take advantage of rebooking opportunities. According to PAL, the event caused the cancellation of at least 116 local flights and 35 overseas PAL flights.
