Elderly Toy Vendor Passes Away After Thieves Beat Him & Stole His P11k Income
TOY VENDOR – An elderly toy vendor has passed away after heartless thieves beat him to steal his P11, 000 income.
A 60-year-old poor toy vendor identified as Salvador Baniqued died and lost their hard-earned P11, 000 cash to heartless thieves on a sidewalk in Tanauan City, Batangas. The victim and his colleague were taking a rest when the incident happened.
Baniqued’s colleague identified as Crispin Francisco is currently recuperating at the hospital after suffering from wounds and injuries due to the incident. Francisco and Baniqued were visiting various towns to sell toys.
The two vendors decided to take a rest beside the road but three suspects suddenly attacked them. The heartless suspects beat them using wooden sticks and stole their income worth P11, 000.
“After nilang pagpapaluin sa ulo yung mga biktima natin ay biglang umalis at kinuha ang P11, 000 na kita nitong mga biktima sa pagbebenta ng mga laruan,” Tanauan City Police Station Deputy Chief Pmaj. Arwin Caimbon said.
The police authorities launched a follow-up operation and arrested the suspects. One of them is a minor. Two of the suspects have been identified as RJ Cortuna and Benedict Bingua of Tanauan City. However, the cops failed to recover the stolen cash.
According to Cortuna, he is innocent and did not expect his colleagues to commit such a crime. Bingua explained that they just wanted to steal the money and he did not intend to kill the victim.
The culprits will face corresponding charges.
