Toni Gonzaga plans to go back to school
Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga shared that her movie My Teacher inspired her to go back to school probably next year.
Toni’s movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 also featured Henyo Master Joey de Leon. In the movie, the actress-host played the character of a teacher while Joey is a student.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, this movie project has become an inspiration to her to study again. Toni was waitlisted for the fine arts program at UP Diliman but her father advised her to enroll in a communications course at Dominican College.
Then, Toni Gonzaga, during her Eat Bulaga stint, enrolled in AB English when she transferred to the Asian Institute of Distance Education and eventually enrolled in UP through its Open University, taking up multi-media arts.
For her plan to go back to school in 2023, the actress-host has started scouting for a college or university and she also wants to take up law if given the time and chance. Toni said that she admires the lawyer-friends of her husband Paul Soriano every time she talks to them.
She thinks that it is fun to study law because by talking to Paul’s friends she learns a lot as they would always have a legal basis for whatever they may say.
“Next year, that’s my dream… babalik ako sa school. Yun ang nakita ko sa sarili ko. Yan ang target ko this 2023 – mag-aral dahil sa pelikulang ito. I want to go back to school because when we were doing this film, nag-re-research ka at nakikita mo na it’s really possible and ang daming bumabalik sa school,” she said.
On the other hand, Toni Gonzaga admitted that going back to school will require dedication.
