Where did the millions of followers of Toni Gonzaga go? Cristy Fermin shares her observation.
TONI GONZAGA – Cristy Fermin shares her thoughts about the low ticket sales of Toni Gonzaga’s MMFF 2022 film “My Teacher”.
“My Teacher” is a 2022 family drama film starring Joey de Leon, Toni Gonzaga, Ronnie Alonte, and Loisa Andalio. The film is an official entry to the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The film is directed by Paul Soriano and produced by TEN17P and APT Entertainment. Soriano and Gonzaga are the producers of the film along with Mark Victor. With Toni’s influence and millions of followers, the film would surely not become a flop. As per her husband’s claim, she is probably the most powerful celebrity today.
However, it seems like her film is falling behind among the official entries. It received good reviews and great feedback from moviegoers but it did not even reach the top 4 top grossers of this year’s festival based on the unofficial list that was released.
Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin reacted to the alleged low ticket sales of the film and expressed something in a new episode of her program “Cristy Ferminute”.
Accordingly, other people are asking where her huge followers have gone and why it seems like they haven’t shown their support yet for her movie.
“Kamusta naman si Toni Gonzaga? Hinahanap ngayon ng mga kababayan natin ang kanyang milyun-milyong subscribers at followers sa YouTube. Bakit daw walang nangyari? Bakit hindi nag-translate sa takilya?” she said.
She added that perhaps are supporters are still busy this holiday and will support her film once they find the time.

Kung ang isang troll ay may 20 accounts, di mo yun pwedeng gawin sa sinehan. Kasi kailangan mong panoorin yung pelikula ng 20x at gumastos ng sarili mong pera para magka ambag sa ticket sales ng My Teacher. Sabihin nating 2hrs yung movie. This translates to 40hrs of time wasted. Unlike sa YT at ibang SNS na kahit cellphone o mumurahing laptop sapat na, sa cinema, di mo pwedeng hatiin katawan mo ng 20x para lang pumunta sa ibat ibang sinehan. 😅
Pwede namang bumili ng ticket kahit hindi manood. But still, gastos parin yung pambili ng ticket.
