Ivana Alawi has an MMFF movie with Vice Ganda
Actress Ivana Alawi shared her thoughts on working with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda in the movie Partners in Crime for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022.
Vice is an MMFF veteran. Several of his movies were included in the film fest in the past years. For his entry this year, he is joined by Ivana in his signature comedy film. This is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Prior to this movie, Ivana did the heavy drama series A Family Affair and she said that it is a breather doing a comedy film after that. However, the actress who has millions of YouTube subscribers admitted that there was pressure on her part, based on the article in Inquirer.
At first, she doubted herself if she can do it. Aside from having a prominent director, she also worked with a popular comedian. “Si Meme Vice pa ang kasama, sobrang na-pressure ako. Sabi ko, parang hindi ko kaya. Sabi ko, di ko kakayanin na makipagsabayan,” Ivana Alawi shared.
On the other hand, the actress is thankful that everyone on the set helped each other. Ivana shared that Direk Cathy was very hands-on on the set while Vice would encourage and motivate everyone.
The actress said that she felt that she was well-supported while doing the movie and she is thankful for this. She also shared that she really enjoyed doing comedy. In her previous project prior to this, she said that she would often cry during scenes.
“Kasi doon sa teleserye, siguro ang iyakan namin is six times a day, sunod-sunod. Parang ‘yung breakfast, lunch and dinner ko is puro luha. Dito naman ay puro tawa, ang saya-saya, ang gaan-gaan,” Ivana Alawi said.
Aside from doing TV and movie projects, the actress is also active in sharing her vlogs.
