Mommy Divine Geronimo was accused of maltreating her employees
The camp of Mommy Divine Geronimo, the mother of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, reacted to the allegation that she committed labor law violations.
To recall, in Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update vlog with Mama Loi, they shared that an employee of Sarah’s mother complained that they were not being paid for their overtime and they were not allowed to have their rest day even though this was previously approved already.
The employee who exposed this also claimed that their salaries are delayed and as workers, they are not being treated well.
In a recent episode of Ogie’s YouTube show, they shared an update about this issue. It was said that the employee has officially filed a complaint to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In a digital statement that the labor department sent to the complainant, the dates for the hearing of this issue will be held which are on January 5 and January 12, 2023. Mama Loi said that the complainant is determined to pursue this case because this might happen again in the future and this will represent also those employees who went through the same “maltreatment.”
Ogie’s YT show also shared the reaction of the camp of Mommy Divine Geronimo to the allegations against her. The employee defending the side of Sarah’s mom said that the complainant already worked as a driver of the Geronimo’s before but he left.
Then, the said driver went back and pleaded to be employed again and the Geronimo family accepted him again. However, after five months, he suddenly left again without saying anything and he just left the keys. It was also said that the driver received a lot of complaints and they have a record of these.
The camp of Mommy Divine also debunked the allegations that he was not allowed to get the things that he left. It was also said that Sarah’s mom just wanted the complainant to get his salary personally because of the deductions that must be done. The mother of the Popstar Royalty also answered other allegations such as the delayed salaries and the unpaid 31st day of the month.
