Matet de Leon Speaks on Adoptive Mom Nora Aunor amid Rift due to Business
MATET DE LEON – Amid their business rift, the actress expressed that she is praying for the health of her adoptive mother, Nora Aunor.
One of the most popular actresses in the Philippine showbiz industry is Nora Aunor. She earned the title as the Philippines’ Superstar. She did a lot of movies that marked the industry. Some of her children also joined showbiz.
Nora has one (1) biological son, actor Ian de Leon, with her former husband, veteran actor Christopher de Leon. The former couple also have adoptive children – actresses Lotlot and Matet de Leon and actors Kiko and Kenneth de Leon.
However, in the previous years, the rift between Nora Aunor and her children did not skip going into public. Recently, Matet de Leon aired out her disappointment over business issues with her adoptive mother.
Matet revealed that Nora joined the same business that she was in – the selling of gourmet tuyo and tinapa. The latter’s move make her a competitor of the business of her adoptive daughter.
According to Matet, the move of her adoptive mom made her feel that she really does not love her children citing that no mother who loves her children will do it. She also stressed that she felt that she is really an adopted child with what her mother did.
Recently, Matet de Leon agreed to an interview with talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz. During the said vlog interview, the actress stressed that it is time for her to stand for herself. According to her, she and her siblings were not allowed to talk for a long time because they are ones being criticized and they prefer to protect the image of their mother.
Matet also stressed that she was the one who used to defend Nora against the negative criticisms of the people around because she does not want her adoptive mother hurt. However, now, amid their rift on business issues, she stressed that she does not want to talk to her adoptive mother anymore and just focus on her family.
During the vlog interview, Matet de Leon assured Nora Aunor of her respect to her and silence to what they should not talk about. She also revealed that she is praying for her adoptive mother’s health every night because she does not want anything bad to happen to her.
