JANELLA SALVADOR – Valentina’s ‘hero’ transformation to “green Darna” caught the attention and here’s an explanation behind this.
“Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” stars Jane De Leon as the newest Darna and Janella Salvador as Valentina, the alter ego of Regina, the iconic enemy of Darna. Joshua Garcia is Darna’s love interest while Zaijian Jaranilla will be the new Ding.
But just recently, a twist is brewing because Valentina, in a teaser, transformed into a green Darna. In the December 17 show, Salvador wore a full costume as Darna but instead of the iconic red, it’s in color green.
In the scene, she was flying and hearing cheers from around her but she is fully aware that she is not the one being celebrated. Despite her iconic outfit, she is not the one being cheered on.
She shouted in terror and that was when she woke up from her nightmare.

To recall, Janella’s role is among the much-awaited in the series. In recent episodes, Valentina finally revealed herself to the people.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, former Darna Vilma Santos advised Jane amid the bashing to just prove them wrong in their judgment about her as this generation’s Darna.
“Basta alam mo, as long as na ginawa mo ang best mo. Huwag ka dun mag-focus sa negative, mag-focus ka sa sarili mo kung ano pa ang kaya mong gawin,” she said. The veteran actress told the young actress to make these negative comments her fuel to do better and to rise above it.
