Days after his release, Vhong Navarro met with Streetboys members.
VHONG NAVARRO – Kapamilay actor Vhong Navarro reunited with Streetboy Maynard Marcillo, Jhong Hilario, Chris Cruz, Joey Andres, and Spencer Reyes.
An order dated December 5, 2022, has been issued which stated the temporary release of Vhong Navarro. Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 signed documents that allowed Navarro to bail for his provisional liberty to Php 1 million.
He immediately paid the said amount and was released right away. He was fetched by his wife Tanya Bautista, the very person who never left his side ever since the issues and legal battle versus model Deniece Cornejo started.
To recall, he was first detained at the detention facility of the National Bureau Of Investigation (NBI) and was later then transferred to a jail facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
And now, several days after grasping his release, he met with the other members of Streetboys. Among those present during his reunion with the group are Maynard Marcillo, Jhong Hilario, Chris Cruz, Joey Andres, and Spencer Reyes.
A photo of them has been posted online and the sense of brotherhood has overwhelmed the people.
“A very merry Christmas to all of you! Brothers for life! From the bottom of our hearts…. A huge ‘THANK YOU’ for the prayers and undying support!” says the caption.
To recall, when Vhong was put into incarceration, the Streetboys initiated the #WeStandWithVhong movement online. They believe in his innocence.
Meanwhile, the case that put the actor behind bars when it was resurrected is non-bailable. However, the court sees some inconsistencies in the testimonies of Cornejo which is why his plea for temporary liberty has been allowed.
