Delivery Rider in Valenzuela City Caught with Illegal Drugs Worth P1.5 Million

Police authorities arrested a delivery rider after he was caught with illegal drugs worth P1.5 million in Valenzuela City.

According to the report, the illegal substances known as “shabu” were recovered from a suspected drug peddler who is classified as a High-Value Individual (HVI). This comes as a result of a police buy-bust operation in Valenzuela City.

P/Col. Valenzuela is the chief of police in Valenzuela. Salvador Destura Jr., the detained suspect Winrich Quizano alias “John John,” is 38 years old, married, a delivery rider, and a Caloocan City resident. According to the Northern Police District, operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a buy-bust operation in the city at 10:30 p.m.

A police officer posing as a poseur buyer was allowed to transact with the suspect, according to the police report. The cop intended to acquire alleged shabu for P40,000 from the suspect.

When the transaction was completed and the suspect handed over the acquired illegal substances, the police officer promptly signaled his colleagues and approached the suspect to arrest him. Three knotted translucent plastic bags containing an estimated 225 grams of suspected shabu with a normal drug price of P1,530,000 were recovered from Quizano.

A genuine P500 peso bill, a P500 and 39 pieces of P1,000 peso bill boodle money, P320 pesos, a body bag, a cellphone, and a Honda Click motorcycle are also included. The police will file a charge against the suspect at the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office under Sections 5 and 11 of Art II of RA 9165.
