Toni Gonzaga was asked about the resurfacing of the issue between Alex Gonzaga and Dina Bonnevie
Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga is aware of the past issue that her younger sister actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga with veteran actress Dina Bonnevie.
To recall, Alex related on her podcast that she was traumatized when an “artistang matanda” scolded her and she said that the stories that circulated were different from what happened. She said that the stories painted her as a bad person when it is not the case.
In a past statement, Dina shared that she reprimanded a younger artist who came late to the set. This happened years ago. Dina and Alex worked together on a TV5 series P.S. I Love You which aired from November 2011 to February 2012.
In an interview in 2018, Dina shared this story that was sort of a blind item. Based on the article in PEP, during a recent interview, Toni Gonzaga was asked about this as reporters were asking about her and the cast of My Teacher about other artists’ “attitudes.”
Toni said that her sister would tell her beforehand about issues that would come up. “Ahh, kilala ko naman si Alex, so alam ko yung totoong istorya. Alam ko yung totoong nangyari. So, bago pa minsan lumabas, sasabihin na niya, ‘Ito, iaano ito, palalakihin. Pero ganito talaga yung nangyari, ha? O, ‘Ito, uungkatin pa pero 2008 pa iyan, ha? Pero kaya ganito yan kasi galing ako sa ganito, tapos pumunta ako dun,’” the actress-host said.
Toni and Alex are very close to each other. Over the years, they have shown the tight bond that they have despite different issues.
Meanwhile, Toni said that on their set for their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022, there is no “pasaway.” She also shared the people they work with in their production companies Ten17 and TinCan are professional.
