Jodi Sta Maria is overwhelmed by her recent acting award
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria shared her “thank you” post after she was recognized as the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022 Best Actress.
Jodi got the said acting award for the Kapamilya drama series The Broken Marriage Vow. It was an adaptation of the British series Doctor Foster. The actress was flexed by her boyfriend actor Raymart Santiago.
On the day after the awarding ceremony, Jodi shared a lengthy post on Instagram saying thank you to the people who in one way or another helped her achieve this. She shared her photo taken in her apparent hotel room in Singapore where the event was held.
“Still on a high from last night. I am beyond grateful to everybody in the village of The Broken Marriage Vow,” Jodi Sta Maria wrote. She said that everything happened so fast and so she panicked. It was indeed an overwhelming experience for her.
She thanked the AACA for the recognition and enumerated the people she wants to thank. Jodi expressed gratitude to the people she worked with in TBMV, including the staff and crew, Dreamscape, ABS-CBN, and BBC that aired the original series.
The actress also thanked her team, her family, the viewers who watched her series, and the people who have supported her for the last 24 years of her career. “To my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — you never fail to amaze me with your overflowing love, grace, and mercy – I give back to you the honor, glory, and praise,” the actress added. Jodi Sta Maria ended her post with, “Finally, PILIPINAS, PARA SA ATIN ITO!”
In the comment section of her post, Jodi received a message from her fellow Kapamilya star Angelica Panganiban. “Congrats mamajowds,” the latter wrote. Jodi also received a message from Iwa Moto, the current partner of her former husband Pampi Lacson.
“Congratulations!!! Baguhin ko na tawag ko sayo. parang ayaw ko na ng amor. Hahaha. Were all proud of you JILL,” Iwa said referring to Jodi’s past and recent characters.
