Jasmine Curtis-Smith admits she still feels pressure when compared to her older sister
Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith is proud of the achievement of her older sister Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis in the entertainment industry.
Jasmine followed in the footstep of her Ate Anne in the entertainment industry. As they are in the same industry, it is inevitable that they will be compared to each other. During a recent guesting on Eat Bulaga‘s Bawal Judgemental, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Jasmine was asked about her sister.
In the said episode of the noontime show’s popular segment, celebrities with foreign blood were featured. Jasmine, as one of the guest choices, was asked if she feels the pressure of being a younger sister of Anne.
The Kapuso actress admitted that at times, she feels it but their love for each other as sisters overpowers this.
“Minsan mararamdaman ko pa rin ‘yun. Pero sa tingin ko kasi mas nangunguna pa rin ‘yung relasyon namin bilang mag-ate, magkapatid, so hindi [ko] ‘yun hahayaan na [maging] mangunang pakiramdam or hindi [ko] didibdibin,” she said.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith said that she is actually proud of her Ate Anne who recently held her comeback concert. “Yes! I’m proud,” she said.
Then, Jasmine shared that she studied here in the Philippines when she was in grade school and so she is more fluent in speaking Tagalog than Anne who studied in Australia. “‘Yung sa utak, natural ba, or hindi siya kasing-slang or bulol,” Jasmine said.
Then, the Eat Bulaga asked if she would tell her Ate Anne that she is “bulol.” Jasmine jokingly answered, “Oy hindi a! Kayo nagsabi niyan a! Sinabi ko lang hindi ako bulol.” The Kapuso actress added that actually, her sister can use this for comedy. She becomes funny saying her “bulol” Tagalog words.
