Cristy Fermin talked about the charges against Roderick Paulate
Former Quezon City councilor Roderick Paulate was defended by veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin amid the legal battle that he is facing.
Early this month, the Sandiganbayan released a decision. He was found guilty of graft and hiring ghost employees. Then, he was ordered to pay P1.1 million to the government and he is also facing 62 years of jail time.
Amid this issue, Cristy Fermin defended her fellow showbiz personality. She said that the public does not know the deeper side of the case. Cristy also said that the decision is not yet final.
The showbiz writer stressed that when it comes to showbiz personalities who entered politics, issues are being raised always, based on the article in Bandera.
She also said that this case was filed by the political rival of Roderick Paulate. Cristy stressed that she and other showbiz personalities have seen the actor-politician’s track record.
The showbiz writer also said that they are ready to defend the name of Roderick Paulate against the issues being raised by his opponent. Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika said that the actor-politician is being accused of taking away millions of pesos when he can earn this amount in showbiz.
Cristy agreed to this. She also said that Roderick Paulate will counter-attack the decision of the Sandiganbayan.
