Jinkee Pacquiao Offers Flowers To Itaewon Stampede Victims
JINKEE PACQUIAO – Manny Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee Pacquiao visited the scene of the Itaewon disaster.
Itaewon was well-known for its variety and vibrant nightlife. It is one of Seoul’s most well-liked neighborhoods. A week after a disaster there claimed the lives of more than 150 young people, the neighborhood has become a memorial.
After more than 150 young people were killed in a mob crush while celebrating the 2022 Halloween last October 29, the area has now been transformed into a somber memorial of loss and introspection.
Bars that were humming with K-pop music are now silent, with condolence letters scrawled on the doors and a notice from the local government requesting that people refrain from dancing and playing loud music.
Since the disaster, the area has been filled with unsettling grief. Early in the evening, its streets and alleys—which in general never sleep—went dark. Restaurants were deserted and many stores were closed.
In a previous article, Kapuso host Kuya Kim Atienza disclosed on his IG account that he was in Itaewon when the incident happened. He covered the incident showing the aftermath of the stampede.

During Jinkee Pacquiao’s recent visit to Korea, she took time to visit the scene of the Itaewon disaster. She also uploaded an IG picture of her at the mourning venue. She even offered flowers for the victims. It came with a caption, “Itaewon [praying hands emoji]”
