POKWANG – Check out Pokwang’s hilarious reaction to the shape of this sweet potato.
Marietta Subong a.k.a Pokwang is a Filipina comedian, actress, host, and endorser. She has hosted a number of shows, including Pilipinas Win na Win, Wowowee, and Happy Yipee Yehey.
She accepted projects with TV5 after the closure of the Kapamilya network. On June 18, Pokwang signed a contract with the GMA Artist Center.
Last September, Pokwang shared that she was building a summer house for her daughters Mae and Malia. On IG, the actress gave her fans a virtual tour of her 3-story house which she said was delayed due to the pandemic and lack of sufficient income.
Just recently, the 52-year-old celebrity elicited laughter from her IG followers after she commented on the shape of the sweet potato she was about to peel for snacks.

Pokwang posted on Instagram the photo of the sweet potato that she said had a strange shape.
In the caption of the post, she wrote, “bakit ganon? gusto ko lang naman sana magluto ng kamote cue para sa miryenda pero biglang naiba ang pakiramdam ko? parang……iba e! bakit kaya? ano ba meron sa kamoteng ito?”
Netizens immediately understand the actress’ green joke. Based on the shape of the sweet potato, it is possible that those who see it will think differently.
A netizen said, “mamang! Magluluto lang dapat pero biglang may isang tao kang naalala ganernnn [fire, lovestruck, laughing emojis].”
The Kapuso star replied to the commenter (published as is), “bwahahahahaa hindi naman….. hindi naman ganyan kaliit hahahahaha.”
A netizen also said to the comedian, “Baka miss mo xa.”
The actress replied, “hindi naman.”
Pokwang and her partner Lee O’Brian separated in November 2021, but it was only reported in July 2022. Their relationship lasted for about six years. The comedian confirmed that she is a “single mom” again in a presscon in October 2022.
