Jake Cuenca Reacts to His Failed Relationship with Kylie Verzosa
Actor Jake Cuenca gives his thoughts about his recent failed relationship with ex-girlfriend Kylie Verzosa.
Jake recently responded to some concerns about his present situation following the problems he’s been involved in during the press conference for his movie “My Father, Myself.” Jake and Kylie announced their three-year marriage had ended in divorce in April of this year.
In addition, early on October 9, 2021, the actor was involved in a car chase during which the police pursued and fired at his vehicle. Jake was questioned by PEP.ph on how he was feeling right now.
“Siyempre nung pandemya, ayoko namang i-elaborate na I will solely say it’s because of my love life, kasi it’s not. Siyempre may mga family members ako, immediate family members, who passed away because of COVID—my lola, my Tiyo Manoling [Morato]—a lot of things,” he said.
“And siyempre, the breakup was just another [factor of the] many things [that affected me]. Parang nagsabay-sabay. Pero you know, not because I cry, or because I am emotional doesn’t mean I’m gonna give up. I’m pushing forward and I’m not giving up,” he added in the interview.
Jake also disclosed that his parents told him to “go forward and stand up” in the face of what he was experiencing. Jake added that his breakup with his ex-girlfriend will not affect his capacity to love to the fullest.
“Marami akong lessons na natutunan, pero siyempre sa akin na lang yun. Yung relationship namin noon ay sa aming dalawa lang. Pero kung mayroon man akong big takeaway, kung mayroon man akong puwedeng baguhin sa mga nangyari, siguro wala akong babaguhin,” he said.
“Ganun talaga ako magmahal, sagad, inuubos ko ang sarili ko para sa isang tao, and hindi ako nagsisisi in the end. Magsisisi ka kasi malungkot, nakakalungkot, wala na yung tao. Pero sa kaloob-looban ko, alam ko na ibinigay ko ang lahat. I know I gave my best,” the actor explained.
