Coleen Garcia enjoyed her stint in this Cinemalaya movie
Actress Coleen Garcia shared her thoughts on her performance in the movie Kaluskos which premiered last August at the Cinemalaya film festival.
The said movie is not the first Cinemalaya film that Coleen did. Back in 2015, she was featured in the movie Y. After seven years, she had the chance to have her movie once again at the said film festival. Kaluskos is directed by Roman Perez and this will be released in cinemas on November 30.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the actress admitted that she still feels cringy every time she watches herself.
Coleen said that she wants to overcome that feeling and just feel completely happy about her work. The actress also appreciates the favorable comments that she received for this movie.
She also acknowledges the honest review that she is getting and she also embraces the chance to improve in her future performances. “I read the reviews. I consider the critiques and feedback I get. I love how people in Cinemalaya can be brutally honest, which I learn from,” Coleen Garcia said.
The actress also appreciates the chance to interact with people who have a strong passion when it comes to their crafts. “I enjoyed watching and supporting the other movies. And then you realize that it’s not just about you or your entry, but what you can contribute to Philippine cinema,” she said.
Indeed, Coleen enjoyed her Cinemalaya experience and seeing others also feeling the same makes her happy. The actress also shared that it was not hard for her to fall in love with the script. “It’s about a mother’s descent into madness,” she said, adding that her character went through a lot of hardships.
As an actress and a mother, Coleen Garcia had to set her priority. She needed to spend more time with her son and her showbiz engagements had to be set aside.
