Kris Aquino Says “Bawal Sumuko” In Recent Health Update

In a recent post, Kris Aquino gives an update about her health.

KRIS AQUINO – Former actress and TV personality, Kris Aquino shares another update about her health saying “bawal sumuko”.

Last June, Kris Aquino flew to the United States because of her autoimmune disease and after being diagnosed with ‘ultra-rare’ disease EGPA or Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis. This is a rare and life-threatening disease.

She shared previously that “time was her enemy” as they were rushing in hopes that there will be no permanent damage to the blood vessels leading to her heart. And in the duration of her treatment in the United States, she also became silent on social media.

And just recently, in a new post, Kris shared a photo of her two sons with the caption stating her current health condition and situation while abroad.

She first expressed her gratitude to those who have been praying for her recovery and she specifically mentioned a religious group that included her in their intentions.

As for her health, she has now accordingly started “step one” of her 18-month process of diagnosis and treatment at “a hospital’s center for those with rare and undiagnosed illnesses”.

“My last set of test results were conflicting; that’s why I chose to have my full diagnosis and treatment with a team of multidisciplinary doctors,” she said.

She then detailed the meticulous process that she went through before being admitted to the specialized center. Once this is done, she will “be admitted early 2023 to undergo every imaginable test they’ll deem necessary.”

Aquino continued stating that her condition is very complicated because she has allergic reactions to medications that could help improve her symptoms.

Since it’s going to be 18 months, she and her sons will be extending their stay in the US. And speaking about her sons, she stated that they are the reasons why she’s still fighting and not giving up.

“[Sila ang dahilan kung bakit] tinitiis ‘yung matinding sakit (sagad sa buto) while allergic to all pain relievers; the constant fatigue, awful sense of balance, non-stop dry cough and shortness of breath; ‘yung sobrang pag-iingat,” she said.
