Cristy Fermin showed support for Vhong Navarro
Veteran entertainment writer Cristy Fermin is just one of the many showbiz personalities who are praying for actor Vhong Navarro.
Vhong is currently facing a legal battle against model Deniece Cornejo who filed a rape case against him. Amid his current predicament, the actor has been receiving support from his friends in the entertainment industry.
His It’s Showtime family rallies behind his back and even his ex-wife former actress Bianca Lapus is hoping for the best. On November 21, Vhong was transferred to the Taguig City Jail from the detention center at the National Bureau of Investigation.
Vhong’s lawyer, Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque said that the actor is doing fine inside the city jail. He had to go through a five-day quarantine upon arrival as part of the protocols being implemented amid the pandemic.
The actor had to wear the same uniform that persons deprived of liberty wear. In a recent episode of Cristy Fermin’s show, she took notice of Vhong Navarro’s weight. “Napakapayat! Pumayat!” she said.
The veteran showbiz writer also shared her prayer for the actor. “Ipanalangin na lang natin na sana’y mabigyan na siya ng piyansa. Baka kasunod na nito ang pagbibigay ng piyansa dahil naroon na siya sa pinag-ugatan ng kaso,” Cristy said.
Previously, the entertainment columnist also mentioned Vhong’s financial status amid his legal battle. Cristy said that since Vhong’s warrant of arrest has no recommended bail, he can’t get out of the detention center, and with this, he can’t do his showbiz engagements and earn for his family.
During the first weeks of detention, Cristy Fermin also shared that the actor was really crying hard inside the facility but he continues to do his best to be strong amid this trial in his life.
