Female Student Earns Praises Over “Pag nabuntis ng maaga, sa magulang ipapaalaga” Line During Spoken Poetry

A female student goes viral online over her “Kapag nabuntis ng maaga, sa magulang ipapaalaga” during spoken poetry presentation.

The Facebook page “CGV The Explorer” has shared video footage of a female student presenting her spoken poetry in front of her fellow students. The video goes viral and garnered various reactions from the online community.

The uploader Teacher Katerinn has shared the video clip of the student identified as Delight Kim Betcher while performing her spoken poetry during a school event.  The poem was entitled “Kabataan noon at ngayon”.

In the video, it can be seen that Kim is comparing teenagers from the previous to the current generation. The poem discusses on how time flies so fast and how the behavior of teenagers changes throughout the years.

The young student emphasizes the teenagers who were engaging in relationships at a very young age. She also described “Kabataan ngayon” as rebellious and disrespectful to their parents.

Betcher also earned cheered from the crowd after saying the line:

“Ang tanging problema lamang nila noon ay kung paano makakabili ng tsitsirya. Ngayon hindi daw sila mabubuhay kung walang jowa,” Labingtatlong taong gulang pababa halos lahat marunong na. Tapos kapag nabuntis ng maaga, sa magulang ipapaalaga”

According to the teacher, she gave Delight only a day to prepare a poem for the spoken poetry. The video has been taken at Salug National High School in Zamboanga Del Norte.
