PAGASA Says Amihan and ITCZ to Bring Rain Across the Country

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and ITCZ will trigger isolated rain across the country.

On Tuesday (November 15, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and intertropical convergence zone will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Mindanao.

Cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol region and Northern Samar.

The localized thunderstorms/ITCZ is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.

No low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility until the weekend.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the bureau.
