Oil Firms Announced Mixed Price Adjustment This Week

Various oil firms in the country announced gasoline price hike, kerosene and diesel price rollback this week.

Over the past few months, the prices of petroleum products play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.

The consecutive oil price hike during the past few months contribute to the daily burden of Filipino people especially to those who were in public transport sector. Price rollbacks can somehow ease the struggles of Filipino drivers.

On Monday (November 14, 2022), various gasoline stations announced mixed price adjustments on prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, and kerosene starting on Tuesday (November 15, 2022).

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. announced an additional P0.90 per liter of gasoline, a rollback of P0.30 per liter of diesel, and P1.32 per liter of kerosene.

Cleanfuel will impose similar changes except for kerosene which it does not carry.

All companies will implement the adjustments at 6:00 am except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 4:01 pm on Tuesday. Other firms have yet to make similar announcements later this week.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has released the latest data indicating the year-to-date increases, which stands of P17.25 per liter of gasoline, P36.30 per liter of diesel, and P28.60 per liter of kerosene as of November 18, 2022
