Dimples Romana is back to work months after she gave birth
Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana revealed the reason why she accepted her role in the action-drama series The Iron Heart.
Dimples has done several remarkable roles in Kapamilya teleseryes. For her most recent acting project, she is part of an action-drama series that features the tandem of Richard Gutierrez and Sue Ramirez.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Dimples shared why she accepted the offer to be part of this project even though she just gave birth five months ago via the caesarian section.
When asked if this would be dangerous for her condition, the actress said that she needed to do this to fight postpartum d#pression. She said that this is her process to fight this.
Dimples Romana also stressed that she prepared physically for her role. “I did pilates (mind body exercise) CS kasi ako but I heal very quickly. I battle very bad postpartum depression. That’s also the reason why every time na nanganganak ako you see me working right away,” the actress said.
She shared that she would wake up in the morning and she would feel side right away without a particular reason. With this, she badly needs to go back to work immediately. However, she is being extra careful because of her condition.
Aside from pilates, Dimples is also doing Muay Thai and she also plays tennis. With the 25 years that she spent in the entertainment industry, she has been questioning herself about the things she could offer more.
“When you have roles like Daniela (sa Kadenang Ginto), and Babaylan (Bagani) which was offered to me by Star Creatives, it scares you a lot. Because from there, you don’t know where to go after that,” the actress said.
With her character Celine in The Iron Heart, Dimples Romana said that this empowers her as a woman. In the series, her character makes the audience confused about whether she is bad or good. “Plus, it empowers me as a woman, as a mom kasi dito makikita mo nagpa-fighting scenes ako,” she said.
