Carla Abellana Speaks on Ex-Husband Tom Rodriguez
CARLA ABELLANA – For the first time since their breakup, the Kapuso actress answered questions about her estranged husband, Tom Rodriguez.
The separation of Kapuso stars Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez just a few months after they officially tied the knot in October 2021 left not only their hearts but countless hearts of people who love them broken. The two (2) celebrities were together for several years before their became husband and wife.
Carla and Tom have worked on several hit Kapuso projects opposite each other. Their relationship first started as co-stars and loveteam partners until they became real-life lovers. It was a shock when rumors that they have separated crossed the surface. Both parties remained mum on the reasons behind their separation.
Shortly after it was confirmed that he flew abroad, Tom issued a statement confirming his separation with Carla. Since then, the former couple walked on separate paths visibly giving their own healing some time. It was just recently when Carla broke her silence and spoke even on matters that involve her ex-husband.
Speaking to GMA News’ Nelson Canlas, Carla Abellana revealed that Tom Rodriguez has yet to reach out to her. According to the actress, the last time that she saw the actor was in February.
When asked if she still has love for Tom, Carla expressed that she honestly cannot say “yes” or “no” reiterating that love does not disappear or is reduced when a person wants to do so. During the interview, the actress was also asked if she would answer the phone in case her ex-husband would call her. According to her, she won’t answer it if he calls now because she is still not ready to talk to him.
“Hindi, hindi muna. At this point parang hindi ko kakayanin, parang if ever he calls hindi ko kakayaning kausapin siya,” she said in the interview:
