Billy Crawford was emotional after winning in Danse avec les stars
Singer-host Billy Crawford and his dance partner Fauve Hautot were hailed as France’s Dancing With The Stars grand champion.
This stint showed the other side of the multi-talented Filipino artist. Billy has been sharing updates on this celebrity competition and it can be seen in him that he is proud to represent the Philippines as well.
Throughout the duration of the show for its 12th season, Billy and Fauve have been receiving good feedback for their performances and with this, many viewers have expected to see them in the grand finals.
During the final show, on the night of November 11 in France (the morning of Nov. 12 in the Philippines), based on the article in PEP, Billy Crawford competed against singer Carla Lazzari who was The Voice Kids France 2018 fourth placer. The two dancing pairs presented so well.
In the end, Billy and Fauve’s hard work paid off. From the start of the 12th season on September 9, the dancing partners have presented mesmerizing dance routines. They were consistent and in almost every performance, they were on the top.
This is the reason why the Filipino artist received the tag Billy The Favorite. For his final performance, he chose contemporary dance and used the song L’Enfer de Stromae which is so meaningful for him.
After Billy and Fauve performance, the singer-host became emotional. He kissed the dance floor and said, ‘“It’s the last dance. I’m going to miss you all so much.” Their tandem got 53.5 percent of votes while their opponent received 46.5 percent.
“I don’t believe it, it’s a dream for me,” Billy Crawford said with tears in his eyes while holding the Danse avec les stars grand champion trophy.
